A Disney-inspired Signature Cocktail Inspired by Space Mountain at Walt Disney World
Starport Seven Five is a vodka-based cocktail inspired by Space Mountain at Walt Disney World. When I set out to create a drink for this classic attraction, there was a lot to consider. I wanted the drink to pay homage to a number of elements from this iconic attraction. The end result is one of my favorite Disney signature cocktails that I have created so far.

Starport Seven Five is a deliciously refreshing drink with a tart note for those who love a little citrus in their cocktails. But the real magic of this cocktail is in the details.
For starters, since the interior of Space Mountain has a cool blue glow (especially around the boarding areas) I wanted the cocktail to reflect that in its color. Next, the garnishes and ingredients also had to be inspired by the ride.

The three blueberries on the cocktail spear not only go with the overall color palette, but they reflect the three riders who journey together in a Space Mountain ride vehicle. The twist of lemon rind is curled to reflect the twists and turns of the ride itself (and also complements the fresh-squeezed lemon juice in the drink).
Blast off with this new classic: Starport Seven Five.
Ingredients
1.5 oz vodka
1.5 oz Blue Curacao
1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/4 oz blueberry syrup
To make a Starport Seven Five, combine the ingredients above and shake over ice in a shaker until nice and cold (like deep space cold). Then pour into a martini glass and garnish with three fresh blueberries and a twist of lemon rind.
I use Ciroc vodka for the Starpart Seven Five. The distinct blue color comes from the Blue Curacao (an orange flavored liqueur, despite its blue color) and the blueberry syrup that I use is Torani. It deepens the blue just a little and adds some sweetness to balance the lemon.

Starport Seven Five is the name of the space port from which you take off when riding Space Mountain at Walt Disney World. The ride opened in 1975, which is the meaning of the seven five.
